My Thoughts on the Cease Fire
I haven't really gone into this cease fire and how I feel about it. I think I'm still in shock over the whole situation really. Did Bush and Olmert really think that anyone was going to walk up to Nasrallah and demand that he hand over their guns? How could they agree to such an agreement? So no, they had to know that the Hezbollah would never agree to disarm. And perhaps they even guessed that the cowardly Lebanese government would classify them as national heroes and refuse to even request that the Hezbollah disarm. So now what? Do we go back? If so, why are we giving the Hezbollah time to rearm themselves? Why are we giving the citizens of Lebanon a chance to repopulate the south?
And now, since the Lebanese government is now being complacent with the Hezbollah, are we considering them and the Lebanese citizens the enemy now?
I think every Israeli is asking themselves these questions and waiting to see what the answers will be. It's very much on all of our minds ~ I'm even dreaming of Hezbollah rockets landing in Kiryat Shmona now.
